Surface characteristics interim guidelines

The National CP Tech Center has amassed the largest database so far of concrete pavement surface characteristics. The newly released guide How to Reduce Tire-Pavement Noise: Interim Better Practices for Constructing and Texturing Concrete Pavement Surfaces is based on data collected from nearly 1,500 test sections throughout North America and Europe.

Two resources on two-lift concrete paving

In fall 2008, the National CP Tech Center coordinated the first national demonstration project and open house on two-lift concrete paving in Saline County, Kansas.

Recently published reports

CP Tech publications receive technical communication award

The technology transfer products associated with the Material and Construction Optimization for the Prevention of Premature Pavement Distress in PCC Pavements project were recently honored with a Distinguished Technical Communication award from the Society for Technical Communication. The entry will now complete internationally.
