This research project is a partnership of 16 state highway agencies, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), the concrete paving industry, and other research groups.

Iowa is the lead state for this five-year, pooled-fund effort. The research is being conducted by the National Concrete Pavement Technology Center at Iowa State University.

Major tasks within this study include

The research staff is working closely with those preparing the FHWA study "Software to Identify Rapid Optimization of Available Inputs" (Task 64) in order to coordinate their efforts and result in complementary projects.
